Ube Kinampay Powder

Taste the purple magic of the Philippines.    Made from 100% real ube kinampay — Royal Purple Yam — this powder brings the sweet, nutty, and creamy taste of the islands to your kitchen.

You’ll need:

  • 30 ml ube syrup (see recipe here)
  • 170ml milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • Masarap Ube Kinampay Powder, for garnish

How to make it:

  1. Pour 30 ml of ube syrup into a 200 ml latte glass or cup.
  2. Steam the milk as you would for a traditional latte until hot and silky.
  3. Add a small amount of the steamed milk to the syrup and stir until fully combined.
  4. Gently pour in the remaining steamed milk to create a smooth, creamy latte.
  5. Finish with a light dusting of ube powder for garnish.

Masarap Tip

  • Serve immediately while hot for a smooth, creamy latte with the distinctive flavour and vibrant purple colour of ube. For an iced version, combine the syrup with cold milk over ice and stir well before garnishing with ube powder.
