Jute leaf & Beef Broth

Frozen Jute Leaves (Saluyot)

Jute Leaves

You’ll need:

    • 1 packet of Masarap Frozen Jute Leaves
    • 4 cups beef stock or bone broth
    • 1 onion, quartered
    • 1 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
    • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional

  • 250g stewing beef, diced

How to make it:

  1. Cook Beef (if using):
    • In a pot, brown the beef (if using) and simmer with the stock and onion until tender (about 30-45 minutes).
    • Remove onion.
  2. Add Jute Leaves:
    • Bring the broth to a boil.
    • Add the Frozen Jute Leaves Masarap and fish sauce.
    • Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the leaves are soft and the broth is slightly thickened.
  3. Serve:
    • Season to taste and serve hot with crusty bread or rice.
