Banana Leaves - Cut

Cleaned, frozen, and ready-to-use banana leaves, essential for wrapping and presentation. Bring authentic Filipino flavours to your meals with Masarap’s 100% natural frozen vegetable collection. Carefully harvested and snap-frozen right after picking, we guarantee convenience without compromising taste, texture, or nutrition.

You’ll need:

  • 1 pack of Masarap Frozen Banana Leaves
  • Warm water (for softening)

How to make it:

  1. Thaw & Soften:
    • Thaw the banana leaves completely. To make them more pliable (so they don’t crack when folding), quickly dip the thawed leaf into warm water or briefly pass it over a low flame.
  2. Wrap:
    • Use the rectangular-cut leaves to wrap dishes like Chicken Pandan or Tamales.
    • Tie with kitchen twine.
  3. Presentation:
    • Use the leaves to line serving platters, baskets, or steamer/baking trays to prevent sticking and add a subtle fragrance.

Masarap Tip: Prepared banana leaves are excellent for food presentation. Line serving plates with the leaves to add an authentic tropical touch.
