Grated Cassava

You’ll need:

  • 1 packet Masarap Frozen Freshly Grated Cassava, thawed and drained
  • 1 can (400ml) coconut milk
  • 1 can (370g) condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten

For Topping:

  • 1/2 cup thick coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk, and grated cheese

How to make it:

  1. Mix the Batter:
    • Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
    • In a large bowl, mix the grated cassava, coconut milk, condensed milk, sugar, and eggs.
    • Stir until well combined.
  2. Bake the Base:
    • Pour the batter into a greased 8×8 inch baking pan.
    • Bake for 45–60 minutes until the centre is set.
  3. Add Topping:
    • Mix the topping ingredients.
    • Once the cake is baked, pour the topping over the cake.
  4. Broil/Bake Again:
    • Broil (grill) or bake again for 10–15 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
    • Cool before slicing.
