You’ll need:
1 packet Masarap Frozen Whole Taro, thawed
2-3 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
Fine salt to taste
Optional seasoning: garlic powder,
cheese powder, or chili powder
How to make it:
Slice Thinly:
Peel and slice the thawed taro as thinly as possible (use a mandoline if available).
Rinse and Dry:
Rinse the taro slices in cold water to remove excess starch.
Dry thoroughly.
Fry:
Heat the oil in a wok or deep pan to 170°C (340°F).
Fry the taro slices in small batches until golden brown and crispy.
Season:
Remove and drain the chips.
Immediately season with salt and optional spices while hot.
